Redwood & Co is returning to downtown Staunton with the opening of their flagship retail store and sales office located in The Wharf at 110 W. Johnson Street. Base Camp, which gets its name from their best-selling home fragrance collection, will be Redwood & Co’s multi-faceted retail store and studio. The space will also house the offices for the company’s retail, wholesale, customer service and social media teams. This expansion will allow more room for manufacturing in the company’s existing space at 1219 Stoneburner Street.
Founded in 2015, by husband duo Mark Wilkinson & Chris Wood, Redwood & Co is the maker of high-quality, fine fragrances for your home and body. Redwood & Co has grown from its humble roots in Staunton, Virginia to a nationally sought-after brand. “We have made Staunton our home, not only for our family but for our business. We take so much pride every time we get to tell someone that our products are 100% handmade in Virginia. This tends to open a whole other conversation about our love for Staunton. Hopefully our customers (and retailers) fall in love with our city as much as our products!” says Co-Founder and COO Chris Wood.
Redwood & Co is proud to have its products in 200+ stores across the country and US Territories, and, as of July 2021, is developing a presence in Central America.
Base Camp will offer its customers the opportunity to shop the entire Redwood & Co home and body collections: candles, room/ linen sprays, reed diffusers, hand/ body lotions and washes, along with limited-edition runs of their signature fragrances, in unique and one of a kind vessels. The retail space will also feature a rotating selection of thoughtfully curated goods, hand-selected for their design
aesthetic, purpose, and beauty. Base Camp will house an interactive candle design studio where customers will have the opportunity to develop their own scented soy candle in a wide variety of vessels, and be hands-on for every part of the process, from scent development and blending to wicking, pouring, and ultimately enjoying their very own candle. Within the studio, customers can create
custom-designed candles made for every occasion or for a signature home fragrance. Our team will work with customers to select a vessel, a size and a fragrance. Once cured, customers will be presented with their custom-made candle in a beautifully wrapped package by Redwood & Co. Customers will also
have the option to have their creations shipped directly to the location of their choice for an additional fee. (This service will be available initially by appointment and private classes only.
